A Checklist For Your Web Site Development Team

Choose a name for your website. Make the name something that is related to your business. Avoid using your personal name for your business web site. Remember this name is going to be used on your business cards, and you will be giving it to customers over the phone. So avoid cryptic words and unusual spellings. Do not register the name yourself, this will only add to the amount of time it will take us to gain access to your site.

Investigate other websites. Check out both sites that provide the same service as your company and sites that have nothing to do with your business, but they have a nice look and easy navigation.

Decide on what you want on your website. If you are a commercial business, then you will probably want your web site to closely mirror your company brochure. If you don't have a brochure, think about what you want your customers to know and be able to do while on your web site. Most anything is possible.

Get your photos, images, and text organized. These items do not have to be ready to be placed on the web page, but having them handy when we meet will help us get a good idea of what you want the site to look like. The better quality of the image, the better it will appear on the page. If you do not have quality photos, we can take the images for you.

Have a list of questions ready that you want us to answer for you.

It is never to early to start thinking about the future. Websites should be designed to be dynamic. This basically means that they should change and evolve over the years. It is a good practice to change your site at least twice a year. Start thinking about where you want the site to be in a year or two.
